Update on BOSTES: 

The NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) replaced the Board of Studies, Teaching and Educational Standards NSW (BOSTES) on 1 January 2017. 

Key word Sign Presenters and Workshop Flyers can still use the BOSTES logo until 31 December 2017. 

The Key Word Sign Basic Workshop has been endorsed as a registered professional development course by NSW Educational Standards Authority (NESA). Teachers can count attendance at a Key Word Sign Basic Workshop towards MAINTAINING​ their accreditation at the level of PROFICIENT TEACHER​. KWS Basic Workshops cannot count towards attaining accreditation, nor for teachers at the level of Highly Accomplished or Lead Level.

The following information should be attached to the bottom of the KWS workshop Flyer - refer to KWS NSW flyer new logo - NESA

 Completing the Key Word Sign Basic Workshop will contribute 6 hours of QTC Registered PD addressing 1.2.2; 1.4.2; 1.6.2; 2.1.2; 2.5.2; 4.1.2. from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
